Application Process
ZS Consultancy assists prospective students throughout the entire university application process, guiding them all the way to acceptance.
Specialty Setting:
Most of the universities have both English and Chinese language teaching, and offer majors in computer science, mathematics, medicine, business, media, electronic science and engineering, film, art, journalism and communication, history, and so on.
Qualifications & Application Period
Individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who are non-Chinese nationals and possess a valid foreign passport.
The application period is from September to June each year.
Application Timeline
Chinese universities offer two main intakes each year—Spring and Summer. Undergraduate courses typically take 4 years, and masters programs 2-3 years. It is important to apply early, as missing a window means waiting for the next cycle. ZS Consultancy helps you stay on track so you don’t miss your opportunity.
Spring Admission
Starts in March 1 (Admission & Program Start).
Applications open in September of the previous year. Ideal for students who want an early start to the academic year.
Summer Admission
Starts in September 1 (Admission & Program Start).
Applications open in November of the previous year. This is the most popular intake and offers the widest selection of programs.
Application Requirements:
Applicants must provide the following documents: Chinese HSK language scores, English language proficiency scores such as IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, the highest academic diploma, a clean criminal record, a passport, high school transcripts, letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and a medical examination form.

To apply for scholarships, you need:
- A passport photo page
- Evidence of your highest education and transcripts
- An academic study plan
- Two letters of recommendation
- Art students must submit electronic copies of their artworks
- Applicants under 18 need a certified power of attorney for affairs or guardianship in China
- Foreigners must provide a Physical Examination Record Form and blood test report
- Certificate of no criminal record
- Proof of language proficiency in Chinese or English, or equivalent documentation.
